August 16, 2016 - Sambro

Awoke early to an awesome view out over the ocean from our garage-top apartment.  Beautiful sunny day, light breeze to begin, which strengthened as the day wore on.  Did a bit of local exploring and ended up picking out some fine, fresh, just-out-of-the-water Nova Scotia lobsters for dinner.  Spent the day relaxing and unwinding, and just generally absorbing the maritime atmosphere.

Christina dropped by for a visit, and later neighbors Bob and Joyce Henneberry came by for a visit.  Bob said he'd take me out in his 14ft aluminum for a bit of playing about in the waves.  That will have to wait a couple of days as tomorrow is forecast to be rather wet and stormy.

We kept the lobsters cool wet and happy in a box of seaweed, and then cooked them up in seawater.  Unbelievably good!  Along with a generous serving of Anneke's potato salad.  Does not get much better than that.

Still in recovery mode, we turned in around 10 pm.
