August 17, 2016

Got some wet weather today, but it had cleared up nicely by about 3 pm.  We took a bit of a drive, did a booze run to Spryfield, and took some pix in Chebucto Head and some of the little fishing villages along the way.  Anneke's neighbors, Bob and Joyce, had us over for some fresh swordfish fillets.  Bob told us that every once in a while, the boys would catch a "pink" swordfish.  These are apparently prized for their superior flavor.  Well, we can certainly attest to that!  The fish was simply sprinkled with salt and pepper, and placed on the BBQ until done.  All this with roasted potatoes just out of the garden, steamed beans (also just out of the garden) and washed down with either cold beer or wine.  An outstanding evening.
